Brethren,

I believe one of the greatest virtues that has always been a part of my journey in Masonry is humility. Humility is not about diminishing ourselves or denying our abilities. Rather, it is the recognition that whatever talents we possess are gifts to be used in service to others. It is about remembering that while each of us is unique, that uniqueness does not always prove out for each of us the way we (or others) may have hoped it might.

As Masons we are reminded to subdue our passions, keep our desires within due bounds, and walk upright before God and man. In my mind, humility is the thread that ties these lessons together. It keeps us grounded, reminding us that our journey is one of self-improvement.

I want to thank each of you for your patience and support with / for the officers of our Lodge at the January regular Communication. The Officers and I are committed to better ritual, for you, our candidates, and ourselves.

Brothers, humility is the foundation upon which we build our virtues. It is through humility that we grow as Masons and as men, ever striving to reflect the light of truth, justice, and love. I am thankful that this light continues to lead me home as brightly today as it did when I first became a Mason.

I hope we all embody humility in our daily lives. Let’s listen more, judge less, and seek wisdom from those around us. Let us serve others with a generous heart, remembering that the strength of our Brotherhood lies not in the elevation of one, but in the unity of all.

The Officers are working hard to give our best ritual for the upcoming Entered Apprentice Degree. I am excited  to welcome you at our February regular Communication on February 25th at 7pm.  Please come out and support our newest Brothers.
