January Masters Message
Wow! 2023 is here and what a great start to the year have we had! The Semi-Public Annual Communication was a phenomenal time! Over 120 people were in attendance. Brothers from all over the state, Family, Friends, a DJ, amazing food, a salty Bar Tender, and beautiful decorations in Japanese lanterns and handmade center pieces by the Ladies of Jenks. Not to mention a very touching and amazing Prologue delivered by W. Jason Rainone, supported by W:. Anthony Amaral and RW:. Bryan Martin, the Installation Team, Metro DDGM RW:. Gilbert Fontes and W:. Jason Nystrom for their heartfelt words and an excellent job installing the Officers, and RW:. Stephan Sariadarian personally installing me as Master of the Lodge. It was reminiscent of Annuals when I was a young Mason.
Even before the party started the work had begun. The Officers and I have been rehearsing for several weeks already, preparing for the Entered Apprentice Degree on February 27th. The dedication and hard work these guys are putting in is outstanding. The Entered Apprentice degree is sure to be one to remembered and I can’t wait to for the candidates to take their first step in Freemasonry.
My focus this year is on unity. I’ve planned several events for the year that will foster brotherhood and friendship. Our annual Cigar Night will be held on February 13, The Second Annual Speakeasy will be held on April 29, and a BBQ cook off in July, just to name a few. Every third Sunday of the month we will be continuing a long tradition at Jenks, a Pot Luck Dinner at 5pm at the lodge. ALL ARE WELCOME TO COME! Bring a dish to share, bring your wife and kids and join us for a great time with friends and family.
Lastly, thank you for putting your faith in me as Master and our Officers to lead the lodge in 2023. I am truly honored and humbled to be the Worshipful Master of Jenks Lodge No. 24 and excited to work with an amazing Officer Line!
