Wardens and Brethren,

Thank you all who attended our March meeting in support of our District Deputy Grand Master, RW. Gilbert J Fontes, Jr. and a very special thanks to our newest Honorary Member RW. Andrew Hammer for traveling from Washington DC to be our guest speaker.  Brothers from all over the Jurisdiction came to support our DDGM and to get an opportunity to hear Br. Hammer discuss the future of Masonry.  It was a wonderful, eye opening evening of discussion and discourse that lasted well after the official meeting ended and into the late hours of the night.

For the past week or so I’ve been thinking about our discussion that evening and about what the future of Jenks Lodge may look like.  We currently have a strong officer’s line, dedicated brothers like Neal Rapp, Scott Panela, RW. Bryan Martin RW. Doug Grant, MW. Robert Allen, MW. Ray Hassell, W. Sousa, Goldberg, and Gervais, and so many others have all taken time from their own lives and families to give back to OUR Lodge.  Men dedicated to service to the lodge through the time they take to travel with me to other lodges, Grand Master’s and DDGM visitations; time spent with our ten newest Entered Apprentices, making sure they understand and are proficient in their degree; time working in rehearsals and at home to prepare for the Fellow Craft; time spent on charitable endeavors.

Which brings me to my point.  These are men of quality.  Men with a desire to give back to our candidates, our lodge, our community, and our fraternity.  Men with a deep appreciation of service to their fellow man. Since I became a Mason, it has always been about the journey, and not the destination, the learning and experiences, the bonds of brotherhood, and the dedication of service to our lodge. It is my sincere desire to build on these tenants of quality and I invite you to join me. I look forward to you joining us in our upcoming events, travel, and charitable endeavors. As always, all are welcome and encouraged to be a part of the journey.

The future of our lodge looks to me, to be bright, thanks to the men of quality in our lodge working to make a difference every day. Men like you, the brothers of Jenks.

Fiat Lux,

Robert C Frank
